- Rhythm & Hues Studios was first established in Los Angeles, California in 1987.
- The Studio now has three facilities what are located in Malad, India and another in HITEC City, India along with the home of Rhythm and Hues which is in Culver City, California.

- Rhythm & Hues was founded by six former employees of Robert Abel and Associates and is now owned by three of those employees.
- John Hughes
- John Hughes is president and founder of Rhythm & Hues Studios, a leading producer of computer generated character animation and visual effects for entertainment and advertising. Guiding a facility with hundreds of digital artists and staff, John is committed to providing a collaborative and supportive work environment in pursuit of the highest levels of artistic and technical excellence.
- In addition to his role at Rhythm & Hues, John is committed to improving education for California students. He currently serves as Chairman of the Education Committee for the Digital Coast Roundtable, and Chair of the Digital Coast Foundation. He also serves on several Boards of Directors including: the California Alliance for Arts Education (a member of the Kennedy Center Alliance for Arts Education Network); the Entertainment Economy Institute; and the Workforce Investment Board, a collaboration between government and private industry that oversees all federal and state training funding for the City of Los Angeles. Previously, he was a member of the California Superintendent of School's Task Force for the Visual and Performing Arts.
- Keith Goldfarb
- Keith Goldfarb is one of the three owners of Rhythm & Hues Studios as well as the Chief Architect for its proprietary software. While working at Robert Abel & Associates in production, and writing special software for custom applications, Keith and three co-workers decided to form Rhythm & Hues Studios in 1987.
- Pauline Ts'o
- In 1987, Pauline and five former Abel co-workers founded Rhythm & Hues Studios, which has grown to become one of the entertainment industry's leading producers of computer generated visual effects and character animation for movies and commercials. The studio won an Academy Award® in 1995 for its work on "Babe," (Achievement in Visual Effects), and was nominated in the same category in 2005 for its work on "The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe."
- Today, Pauline combines her love of art with a finely honed technical acumen, in a broad spectrum of projects for the studio, and is actively involved in the creative development of Rhythm & Hues' feature film and television properties. Among her numerous credits, Pauline has served as an Art Director and Lighting Technical Director on the Coca-Cola "Polar Bear" commercials and Disney's Animal Kingdom centerpiece attraction "It's Tough to be a Bug" in Orlando, Florida.
- Overview of Company
- Rhythm & Hues is a large visual effects studio which has won many Academy Awards over its time. It is most famous for its computer generated 3D character animation. Currently Rhythm & Hues has worked on over 100 films and received and Academy Award for Babe in 1995 and The Golden Compass in 2008.
