How to Apply
Digital Artists should send:
- Cover Letter
- Resume
- Demo Reel (no longer than 3 minutes)
- Demo reels should be submitted on a DVD labled with your name, address, phone number, and email address.
- Will not accept websites, email attatchments, CD-ROMs, floppies, Zips, or Beta Tapes
What Rhythm & Hues Looks For
Modelers:
- Show a solid sense of 3D design and attention to detail through work with traditional sculpture, architecture, as well as digital models
- Show that the level of detail in your work can approach photo-realistic complexity
- Demonstrate high level of understanding of anatomy and proportions of realistic human figures and animals.
Animators:
- Show that you have mastered the machanics of animation (squash-and-stretch, overlapping action, anticipation, folow-through, weight, timing, etc.)
- Strong acting skills
- Show a diversity of style, ranging from highly realistic motion to more exagerated "cartoony" style
Compositors:
- Show your ability to solve complex composting problems, such as dirty blue screen, suppressing unwanted highlights in are to receive digital shadows, intricate, morphs, etc.
- Include shots with "before" and "after" versions or a more explicit layer build up
Apprentice Program
R&H Apprentice Programs provide the oppurtunity to gain valuble production experience while working with talented and dedicated professionals.
- Ideal candidates are recent graduates
- Apprenticeships run between 3 to 4 weeks in duration
- Work with the best artists and supervisors through formal classroom instruction and informal collaboration
- Be trained in R&H proprietary software and other in-house production tools
- This is a paid apprenticeship
- Housing is provided for out of town apprentices
While some participants may be considered for employment after evaluation, participation in the R&H Apprentice Program does not guarantee employment within the company.
